Firstly, a little bit about us
3D Aberdeen is the 3D division of Deepbluemedia, an Aberdeen-based web, multimedia and design company. In recent years, we've been building a fairly comprehensive library of 3D animation, modelling and rendering work - it's become a core part of our business - hence the reason for developing a dedicated website to showcase our work.
3D video technology has warped the definition of what we call real. It's changed what we expect from films, from video and, to a greater or lesser degree, from life. Let's be honest - sometimes (well, most times actually) the real world can seem kind of dull by comparison
We specialise in the most cutting edge technology available to commercial studios today. Technology that, only a few years ago, would have been the preserve of top-flight Hollywood studios operating on massive production budgets with super-cooled, turbo-charged networks.
Moreover though, we have the insight and skills to storyboard, wireframe, produce and edit truly 'other-wordly' effects and camera angles that, simply couldn't be done with traditonal production methods.
Fact is, if you want high impact video and effects produced at a reasonable budget there really isn't anything to rival a professional 3D production. And, lest we forget, this is accessible media that can be delivered online, in glorious full HD, to your clients.
3D Animation
We've been doing 3D for years - the kind of stuff that bends reality and makes you question the old adage 'the camera never lies'. It's no exaggeration to say our 3D designers are amongst the best in the business. Working with our design partners, Deepbluemedia, we can export our animations into web and multimedia friendly applications to truly maximise the impact of our productions and increase your audience.
Recent work includes offshore oil and gas animations featuring detailed rigs and equipment, property development videos showing both interiors and exteriors, and also large-scale, terrain-based fly-throughs for the Lecht 2090 resort in both winter and summer. Our parent division Deepbluemedia has been making websites for over 15 years. In internet terms, that's pretty much a lifetime. While the web has changed almost beyond recognition during this period, there's no substitute for having a solid grounding in the 'old ways'. E-Learning Applications

We'll not deny it - our primary focus is firmly on 3D, web and multimedia. Still, we're great believers printed media still has its place and there's still a deep-rooted design core to what we do .
